Client
The client is a multidisciplinary team that came together over a shared interest in helping cannabis consumers make better purchasing decisions.
Problem
The client identified that buying cannabis is a difficult process because there is a trove of products and information available – and that each customer is looking for a particular effect when consuming cannabis, while performing certain activities. Plus, not all cannabis users display the same level of knowledge concerning the drug.
Solution
GSM built a cannabis products recommender based on the users’ level of experience, desired effects, activity that they will be using the cannabis in and their desired strain and type of product. The tool can be added to a dispensary’s e-commerce site.
This recommender may be used in a one-off basis or, if the user creates a profile, also use past purchases for a more personalized experience, with other suggested products and action cards, which are used by the dispensary to communicate marketing actions.
